SEN Class Teacher
Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term / Permanent
Start Date: January 2026 (or sooner if available)
Pay: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance (depending on experience)

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a dedicated SEN Class Teacher to join a warm and inclusive special school in Wellingborough. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher who is committed to helping every child reach their full potential in a supportive and nurturing environment.
As an SEN Class Teacher, you will lead a small class of pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, communication difficulties, and complex learning needs. You'll plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons, supported by a team of skilled teaching assistants and therapists.
Your responsibilities will include:

Delivering high-quality, creative lessons that meet individual learning needs

Using strategies to support communication, independence, and emotional development

Leading a team of support staff to deliver tailored interventions

Tracking progress and setting achievable targets in line with EHCPs

Building strong relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals
We're looking for someone who is:

A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a passion for SEN education

Experienced in supporting children with autism, learning difficulties, or complex needs (desirable but not essential)

Patient, nurturing, and committed to inclusive teaching practice

Skilled in classroom management and differentiation

Able to work collaboratively as part of a supportive team
